I grew up in a little house in South Carolina. The fenced-in backyard seemed huge at the time and was filled with magic: my firework-eating dog Chomps, a sandbox I transformed into a flood-prone city, the best treehouse a boy could imagine, and a compost pit where mice loved to play.
We made the great move North to Michigan when I was in junior high. Since then, I’ve studied English and computer science, fallen in love with my wonderful wife, and become the father to three amazingly-beautiful daughters.
I work on computers all day long but dream of writing, storytelling and teaching. Not school teaching, people teaching…idea teaching. Start a conversation on living life well — about intertwining the passions of our hearts with the work of our lives — and I’m there. This blog exists for me to write the ideas I can’t get out of my head, sure to include writing about calling, fulfillment, passion, effectiveness, joy, success and family.
I know I’m planning on learning something; I hope you can too. Drop me an email or a comment anytime.
P.S. For the record, I’m not a big middle initial person. There is a very fine cello player from Minnesota who has long owned aaronkerr.com, thus the middle initial in my site and url.
